Rockstar Games
Product Design Intern | Summer 2023
*Full case study + visuals available for recruiting purposes only.
Overview
As a product design intern for Rockstar's first intern cohort, I worked under the Creative Service/Marketing org to enhance our web identity. I redesigned the main landing page to lower bounce rate, provide visibility to updates and live service experiences, strengthen brand image, and provide more functionality to users.

I communicated with engineers to hand-off design specs and lead quality assurance, and presented to internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing) weekly to ensure designs align with brand and CMS needs. I also collaborated with my design team to implement new components into our UI library (amidst major changes to Figma with the introduction of variables).
Takeaways
Coming into this internship, I aimed to fill in my gaps as a product designer. I played a direct role in implementing components into Rockstar's library, whereas I was more involved with the creation and documentation components at Meta. I also made sure I became more involved in the full product cycle and collaboration with other stakeholders (e.g. engineers), making design spec, handoff, and QA top priorities.
